Dumplings, Satays & Hot Pots: Head To Hello China For A Memorable Dinner

Created by restaurateur and chefs Dominic Ho and Lawrence Lao, Hello China is your friendly Cantonese restaurant with a warm ambience, the kind that will accentuate your eating experience. Opened on Goa’s erstwhile premier party stretch, smack in the middle of Tito’s and Britto’s, this new Asian place has been a welcome both in terms of food and decor. Spread over 2 levels, few of the highs of this place is the lovely oriental decor, airy spaces with high ceilings, perfectly spaced seating, the pretty bamboo planters along with hand carved large iron lampshades that resemble the ancient storage drums of a density of bygone years of China and of course good music at the right volume that allows you to have a conversation.

The menu is clutter-free with fare from the whole of the Orient and beyond. The drinks menu is pretty extensive as well. They have an elaborate menu – starting from sushi to delicate glass dumplings, a mean roasted duck and a selection of classic hot pots.

The vegetarian selection won’t leave you underwhelmed here: from triple mushroom dumplings, crispy baby spinach in spicy sesame sauce, to the melt in your mouth paneer! For the meat lovers, you must try their Asian Pepper Steak smothered in pepper sauce and Asian spices, the Tenderloin Kung Pao, the Chicken Hot Pot and their Braised Pork Belly. As for Seafood trust us when we say their Prawn Wasabi and Fish Sirachi Style was out of this world.  To accompany all these delectable dishes, you can go for their wok-tossed fried rice or noodles in chicken, prawn, egg or vegetable.

The signature cocktails are fun, innovative and are mixed and curated by mixologists who have been trained by the best. With quirky names such as Mama’s boy or My Girlfriend and Tube Light, ensures that the frolic is omnipresent at this high table of Chinese fine dining.

Head here if you’ve been craving authentic Asian food or even to nurse a bad case of the munchies after a night out in Baga. But don’t forget to make a reservation, as the place gets really full over the weekends
