Whimsical drinks, a rough, rustic ambiance, and utterly scrumptious preparations, Prime Rose has all the makings of an Irish bar you’d want to spend your weekends at. The beef steak is a standout entry. Juicy and medium-rare (the hallmarks of any good steak!)this meaty goodness comes smothered in a sweet and tangy cranberry reduction sauce. I know already know I’m planning another trip to get me more of this!

Olive Bar and Kitchen, Vagator

SOL Tuesday

Sea views and steak – I see a new favorite combination in the offing! You get the best of both these worlds at the Olive Bar and Kitchen in Vagator. The Quattro Pepper Spiced Beef fillet is a meal in itself, with a succulent beef fillet infused with the zing of cracked peppercorn comes decked with porcini, balsamic jus, wholesome sauteed rocket, fragrant roasted garlic, and mustard mash. It isn’t hard to see why this is a fan favorite! 

Their Seared Rare Beef is another dish that has me hooked. Tender beef, seared rare is tossed in a sweet and sour sticky palm sugar and tamarind glaze. Elevating the whole experience is a nuoc cham (Vietnamese) dipping sauce and dotted with aromatic herbs.

Dandey’s Grill House, Sangolda

Sizzlers on your mind? There’s no place like Dandey’s Grill House for a hearty, sizzling steak sizzler. I decided to mix things up a bit and went for the Chicken Teriyaki Steak. The soft tender chicken drizzled with a heavenly teriyaki sauce simply melts in your mouth and comes with a side of crispy and utterly delicious buttery garlic bread, veggies and crunchy fries.

The meat lovers will be thrilled with the Steak Special; a fillet steak topped with oodles of melted cheese and a portion of flavourful ham. If you still want another option, go for the classic Steak in Red Wine Sauce!

Route 66, Panjim

Juicy and succulent, the house 12 days aged buffalo tenderloins at Route 66 is topped with a creamy artichoke puree, a tantalising red wine jus and grilled as per your choice. I went for a medium rare and couldn’t have been happier with my portion. This steak packs in tons of flavour and is as toothsome as any I’ve had in Goa!

House of Lloyds, Candolim

The House of Lloyds beef steak has been around for a good long while and is, by now, infamous. It’s easy to see why. A beefsteak imbued with a robust smoky flavor, this bestseller has a never-ending stream of very hungry fans, which I am now a part of!
